The BUILDSPACE consortium brings vast amount of experience by leveraging the successfully achievements of objectives by a variety of completed or quasi-completed projects, funded by HORIZON 2020, FP7 and Intelligent Energy Europe, as well as related Global and EU initiatives.
EU Initiatives
BUILDSPACE will create synergies with the following EU initiatives:
- EGNSS: The European Global Navigation Satellite System (EGNSS) encompasses the Global Satellite Navigation System established under the Galileo programme and the European Geostationary Overlay Service (EGNOS).
- Copernicus: ECMWF operates two services from the EU’s Copernicus Earth observation programme, the Copernicus Atmosphere Monitoring Service (CAMS) and the Copernicus Climate Change Service (C3S). ECMWF also contributes to the Copernicus Emergency Management Service (CEMS).
- DestinE: The objective of the EC DestinE initiative, implemented by ECMWF among others, is to deploy several highly accurate thematic digital replicas of the Earth system to monitor and simulate natural and human activities as well as their interactions, to develop and test scenarios that would enable more sustainable developments and support European policy making.
